This CPD focused on Applicants with vulnerabilities in various contexts including gender-based violence, the rights of the child, and human trafficking. The concept of vulnerability will be explored, it’s applicability, and assisting Applicants with vulnerabilities in a broad range of international protection and immigration related matters will be considered and discussed. We are delighted to hear from our expert speakers in relation to these important and highly topical matters, and look forward to seeing you on the 21st February.


Speakers & Topics:


Céile Varley BL will discuss vulnerable witnesses and gender-based violence, including considerations of domestic violence & human trafficking.

Ciara Smyth, University of Galway will discuss the principle of the best interests of the child and how to interpret it from a rights-based perspective.
